Three people arrested with 5 kilograms of cocaine, cash and marijuana

The Austin Police Department Organized Crime Unit in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Agency and Internal Revenue Service seized cocaine, marijuana and cash during a daylight raid on Wednesday, April 18, 2001.

As a result of a year-long investigation, search warrants were executed at 6913-B Bethune Avenue, 7026 Craybrough Circle and 7616 Bethune Avenue.

Five kilograms of cocaine, 10 pounds of marijuana and $75,000 was seized. Areli Benitez-Carbajal (Date of Birth 08-05-70); Gustavo Lopez-Amador (Date of Birth 03-22-64) and Pedro Depaz-Carbajal (Date of Birth) were all arrested for possession with intent to distribute cocaine. They are facing federal charges.
