August 08, 2003 Tepic, Mexico Jose Ramon Laija Serrano "El
Coloche" was transported to Mexico City
On August 8, 2003 Jose Ramon Laija
Serrano aka "El Colo" was transported from Tepic, Nayarit Mexico to Mexico City. Laija Serrano
headed the organizations of Joaquin Guzman Loera aka "El Chapo Guzman" and Hector
Luis Palma Salazar aka "El Guero Palma" during the time they were incarcerated. Laija Serrano was
arrested on August 7, 2003 by State Police when he and three others were dressed in all back while riding in
a white van without tags. The van was driving suspiciously in circles in the Colony Rodeo of Nayarit. When
the officer attempted to stop the van Laija Serrano tried to intimidate the officers and then attempted to
flee. They then attempted to hide in a parking lot but when they tried to leave the parking lot the officers
caught up to them. They were arrested with high caliber firearms that are only permitted for us by the
military. Laija Serrano was also accused of killing there Venezuelan citizens and an attorney. Federal Agents
and the Mexican Army worked together in the transporting of Laija Serrano and the other that were with
him.
