Georgia Troopers seize $544,000 from a pick-up truck on I-85

On March 8, 2005 a Georgia State Trooper stopped a pick-up truck for speeding on I-85. After searching the vehicle, Troopers found 52 bundles of cash hidden inside 5 gallon buckets of roofing tar. The total amount of cash seized was more than $544,000 and the two individuals in the truck claimed no knowledge of the money and were released.
