Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested,4.5 Kilograms of Cocaine and 6 Pounds of
Marijuana Seized
Two men in the city's west end have been arrested
after police found guns and half a million dollars worth of drugs.Police arrived at a drug store in the
Dufferin St. and Lawrence Ave. W. area around 7 p.m Friday.
They were looking for a suspect in a March incident
where a man was shot in the stomach and head.
Police say they spotted the two men sitting in a
car.
The suspect was arrested but the driver of the car
resisted police. He was wrestled to the ground.
It was then discovered that he was carrying a
loaded gun, say police.
After searching their apartment, police found six
guns, numerous rounds of ammunition, 4.5 kilograms of cocaine and 2.8 kilograms of
marijuana.
Alberto Suman, 22, has been
prohibited from owning a gun.
Edwin Humberto Velasques, 22,
faces numerous charges including attempted murder with a
firearm.
