Trooper finds 37 pounds of marijuana in a car

On December 9, 2006, at approximately 10:08 hours, a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a Kia Spectra on Route EE north of I-70 for a traffic violation. Consent to search the vehicle was granted except for a Christmas box in the vehicle. Another member of the Highway Patrol arrived on the scene with his K-9 to assist in the search.

The K-9 alerted on the Christmas box and a suitcase. Two compressed bundles of marijuana weighing a total of thirty-seven pounds were located in the vehicle.

The driver, Robert D. Hall, 57, of Shamburg, Illinois, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and taken to the Saline County Jail.
