MO State Trooper finds 465 pounds of marijuana hidden in large cable spool

On Monday January 15, 2007 an Eastbound 2000 Ford F500 Pickup truck was stopped for a registration violation on Interstate-44 at MO 13 in Greene County. After becoming suspicious during the traffic stop two large cable spools, on the bed of the truck, were inspected. It was determined the spools had a large void constructed inside of them. The large spool contained 465 pounds of marijuana; the smaller spool contained an empty hidden compartment.

The driver, Guadalupe M. Valdez, of Arkansas, and passenger Jonie A. Trevizo, of New Mexico, were arrested for drug trafficking and transported to Greene County jail.
