Troopers arrest subject for having 4 kilograms of cocaine

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 4 kilos of cocaine, valued at $400,000, during a traffic stop this morning on Interstate 70 in Preble County. The suspect will be arraigned tomorrow in the Eaton Municipal Court on a felony drug trafficking charge associated with the case. The driver, David Calloway, 37, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was charged with first-degree felony trafficking in cocaine. A trooper stopped the 2007 Buick Lacrosse with Nevada registration for a speed violation eastbound on Interstate 70 near milepost 8 in Preble County at 9:23 a.m. An Ohio State Highway Patrol drug-detection canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 4 kilos of cocaine concealed within luggage located in the trunk. Calloway was incarcerated in the Preble County Jail. If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
