Missouri 105 pounds of marijuana seized by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on
I-77
On Thursday, June 28, 2007, an eastbound 1996
Freightliner was stopped for a compliance check on Interstate 44, at Missouri Highway 125, in Greene County.
Due to suspicious circumstances discovered during the traffic stop, the trooper and commercial vehicle
officer asked for, and received consent to search the tractor trailer. An external canine sniff was conducted
which resulted in a positive hit. A physical search of the trailer revealed approximately 240 pounds of
marijuana.
The driver, Damon L. Brown, of
Phoenix, Arizona was arrested on trafficking in drugs-first degree. Brown was released on his own
recognizance.
