State Trooper arrests Juan Deana of San Antonio, Texas with 14 kilograms of cocaine

At 5 p.m. on July 17, 2007 an Alabama State Trooper from the Tuscaloosa area conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Freightliner tractor. The traffic stop occurred on northbound Interstate 59 at mile marker 62. The state trooper later conducted a search of the vehicle and found 14 kilograms of cocaine.

The driver Juan Deana (46 years old) from San Antonio, Texas was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine. Juan Deana was placed into the Tuscaloosa County Jail. The ABI Division of the Department of Public Safety, West Alabama Drug Task Force and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office assisted in this investigation.
