Clinton Dunnock sentenced to 14 years in prison for cocaine charges

U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett sentenced Clinton Dunnock, 34 years old, of Baltimore today to 14 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein. Judge Bennett enhanced Dunnock's sentence upon finding that he is a career offender based on his prior convictions for felony drug offenses.

According to his guilty plea, a confidential source (CS) advised the DEA that Dunnock was attempting to obtain multi-kilograms of cocaine from a source of supply in New York from whom Dunnock had previously obtained heroin and cocaine. The narcotics were to be delivered in Maryland on January 31, 2007.

On January 31, 2007, DEA agents observed Dunnock exit his vehicle carrying two plastic bags and enter another man's vehicle. Dunnock and the man then walked to an unoccupied vehicle which contained the narcotics. Dunnock was arrested after taking possession of approximately seven kilograms of cocaine. Agents recovered from the plastic bags approximately $38,000 packaged in a manner consistent with narcotics transactions.
