August 20, 2007 Nashville,
Tennessee 35 pounds of marijauna seized and two illegal aliens arrested
Coordinated efforts earlier this month between the
Specialized Investigations Division, South Precinct Crime Suppression Unit, and South Precinct Flex officers
led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of 35 pounds of marijuana with a street value of at least
$28,000 dollars.
Juan Delgado Gonzalez, 28, and
Raul Munoz, 24, are charged with possession of marijuana for
resale.
Information was developed concerning possible drug
activity which led to the seizure of five pounds of marijuana from Gonzalez's Ford Expedition during a
traffic stop. A search warrant was obtained for an apartment at 371 Wallace Road where it is believed both
men resided. Seized from the apartment were an additional 30 pounds of marijuana, three vehicles, and $1,700
cash.
Gonzalez and Munoz are each being held in lieu of
$80,000 dollars bond. A federal immigration hold is also placed on both defendants because they are suspected
of illegally entering the United States.
