Over two pounds of Heroin and over a half pound of meth seized
Two undocumented immigrants were taken into custody
after authorities raided their home and found pounds of heroin and methamphetamine.
Narcotics officers, the Kern Narcotic Enforcement
Team, and the FBI Gang Task Force searched a home in the 800 block of Blossom Street in east Bakersfield
Wednesday.
They seized about 2.3 pounds of heroin, .65 pounds
of meth, three firearms, and over $15,000 in cash. The narcotics are estimated at a street value of
$136,000.
Diana Guadalupe Lopez, 19, and
Josefina Vasquez, 62, of Bakersfield were arrested on charges of possession of heroin and meth for
sale.
Both are being held as undocumented immigrants.
A child was also taken into protective custody.
