September 06, 2007 St. Charles County,
Missouri State Trooper finds 80 pounds of marijuana in
the toolbox of a truck on I-70
On September 6, 2007, approximately 9:40 a.m., a
member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a 2006 Chevrolet pick-up truck traveling eastbound on
Interstate 70 at the 203-mile marker in St. Charles County for following another vehicle too close. Consent
to search the vehicle was obtained by the trooper and approximately 80 pounds of marijuana was located in a
toolbox in the bed of the truck.
The driver, David M. Moore, 25, of
Ashland, KY, and the passenger Joshua M. Taaca-Moore, 19, of San Diego, CA, were arrested
for possession with intent to deliver marijuana. Further investigation resulted in a third arrest in Ashland,
KY.
The charges for which the above subjects are
accused are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented
before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or
innocence.
