$499,780 seized by Arizona DPS on Interstate 17

On July 25, 2008 an Arizona Department of Public Services Officer stopped a vehicle on interstate 17. When the officer searched the vehicle he found $499,780 US dollars in a hidden compartment. During the stop another officer stopped a vehicle that was following this particular vehicle. The person driving the second car was the owner of the first vehicle. Both vehicles were seized along with the money, three handguns, numerous boxes of ammunition and two silencers.
