9 kilos of cocaine found in hidden compartment of Chrysler 300M

On September 26, 2008 a DPS Canine Officer stopped a 2001
Chrysler 300M for equipment violations.  The officer searched the
vehicle after observing the drivers behavior.  The Department of
Public Safety canine alerted the officer to a non-factory
compartment in the rear of the vehicle.  The hidden compartment
contained 9 kilos of cocaine.  The driver Marina Salinas, 18 years of
age and passenger Rosa Medina Medina, 30 years of age were
arrested and received several drug related charges.
