227 kilos of cocaine seized during a weigh station inspection

On January 30, 2009 a Missouri State Highway Patrol Commercial
Vehicle Officer stopped a tractor-trailer at the weigh station on I-40.  
After conversing with the driver the officer became suspicious of the
driver and requested the help of an additional trooper and a DEA
agent.  When searching the trailer officers found 227 kilos of
cocaine hidden in bundles within the produce.  The driver Eddie J.
Dorantes, 41 year of age and the passenger Oscar F.
Chong-Aguirre, 52 years of age, were arrested and charged with
first-degree drug trafficking.
