Arizona 1,052 pounds of marijuana siezed from a flatbed trailer..
On May 2, an Arizona Department of Public Safety
(DPS) officer stopped a 1989 Chevrolet pickup truck that was pulling a flatbed trailer on westbound I-10
about 15 miles east of Benson. The truck had a suspended license plate. The officer noted indicators of
criminal activity and used his narcotics detection canine "Manny" on the vehicle. "Manny" alerted to the
flatbed trailer where the officer found 1,052 pounds of marijuana in a false compartment inside the
trailer.
The driver, Hector Soto-Hernandez,
39, of Douglas, was arrested for possession/transportation of marijuana and was booked into the Cochise
County Jail.
