Arizona 32 pounds of marijuana seized from 16 year old boy crossing the
border
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers stopped
a marijuana smuggling attempt when they seized a large amount of marijuana.On May 11, 2009 CBP officers
became suspicious of a 2000 Cadillac Catera that was being driven by a 16-year-old boy from Douglas, Arizona.
CBP officers searched the vehicle and discovered packages concealed in a large speaker box that filled the
trunk of the vehicle. Officers seized about 32 pounds of marijuana. CBP officers seized the vehicle and
marijuana. The Douglas boy was turned over to the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for
further investigation.
