Arizona DPS Siezed 22.73 Kilograms of cocaine after a traffic
stop.
On May 14, 2009, an Arizona Department of Public Safety officer
stopped a 2005 Chevy Equinox on Interstate 10 near Picacho Peak
for a possible revoked driver’s license. A subsequent search of the
vehicle revealed 22.73 kilograms of cocaine hidden in the air vents
within the dash board. The driver Juan P. Moreno Garcia, 40 years
of age, and the passenger Luis Moreno Garcia were arrested and
charged with transportation of narcotics for
sale.
