Mexican Army captures Roberto Beltran Burgos aka "El Doctor"
On May 29, 2009 the Mexican army captured Roberto Beltran
Burgos aka "El Doctor" in Culiacan, Sinaloa. Beltran was the deputy of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman (One of
the leaders of the Pacific Cartel along with Ismael Zambada Garcia) and carried out all of his
orders.
Beltran was incharge of the operations in Culiacan, Sinaloa and
carried out the same responsabilities that before him Alfredo Beltran aka "El Mochomo" and
Vicente Zambada Niebla aka "El Vicentillo" carried out. He also counted on web of information from
different areas of the country to infiltrate and provide information on the Federal Governments plans against "El
Chapo" Guzman. He also coordinated a group of attorneys to support any members of the cartel when they were
arrested. The importance of the arrest of Roberto Beltran Burgos aka "El Doctor" is that it was a major blow to the
security and operations of the criminal organization of "El Chapo" Guzman.
