900 kilograms of Cocaine found insite the bodies of frozen Sharks in
Mexico
On June 16, 2009 in the port of Progreso, Yucatan, the Mexican
Navy encountered a shipment of cocaine that was being inside
frozen sharks. The vessel “Dover Strait” was in route to Houston,
Texas from Costa Rica. Navy officials check the cargo with x-ray
equipment and the help of Narcotic detector dogs when they found
the cocaine. There were 97 frozen sharks in which each contained
between six and eight packages of cocaine. There were a total of
870 packages of cocaine removed from the sharks with a total
weight of 900 kilograms of cocaine. With the discovery of this
shipment of drug the Mexican Navy will now be inspecting more
cargo
