A rescue attempt of Arnoldo Rueda Medina sets of a wave of attacks

On July 10, 2009 a rescue attempt of Arnoldo Rueda Medina aka "La Minsa" and one of the leaders of "La Familia Michoacána:, set off a wave of attacks on six Federal Police Stations after his arrest. There were 18 police officers injured and 3 deaths. The attacks happened early in the morning at the Federal Police Instillations of the cities of Morelia, Lazaro Cardenas, Zitacuaro, Apatzingan y Nueva Italia. General Rodolfo Cruz Lopez of the Federal police confirmed that there were two other attacks in the states of Guerrero and Guanajuato.
