Federal Police arrest U.S. fugitive Christopher Hamlet with $729,894 in U.S. Dollars, an
AK-47 gun and 2 pounds of marijuana
Mexican federal police agents arrested U.S.
Fugitive Christopher Hamlet in Mexico City. The federal police searched a home in the
Bosques de las Lomas section of Mexico City and found Hamlet. The agents also seized a suitcase $729,894 in
U.S. Dollars, three bags containing about 2 pounds of marijuana and an AK-47
firearm.
Christopher Hamlet was wanted in the United States
by the DEA, FBI and U.S. Marshalls. He was a part of a large drug trafficking organization that was
originally from Tennessee. This organization was led by Criag
Petties of Memphis, Tennessee. Hamlet and Petties were believed to have fled to Mexico after a
number of subjects in the drug trafficking organization were arrested several years
ago.
