Trooper finds one pound of meth, 1/3 of a kilo of cocaine and cash
One pound of methamphetamine, 330 grams of cocaine and more
than $3500 in cash were discovered during a traffic stop in Kimball
County, Wednesday afternoon.
A black 1995 Toyota 4-Runner with Arizona plates was stopped for
speeding near the Dix Interchange of Interstate 80 shortly after one
p.m.(mountain time,) Wednesday, February 9, 2005. An NSP K-9
alerted to several areas of the vehicle. A search of the SUV yielded
512 grams or approximately 1 lb. of methamphetamine, with a street
value of $20,000. The meth was hidden behind a panel in the cargo
area on the left side of the vehicle. 330 grams of cocaine valued at
$15,000 was discovered beneath the backseat, under the carpet.
Manual L. Martinez, (DOB/6-7-60) and Bonnie Sue Timlick,
(DOB/8-3-64) both of Yuma, Arizona were arrested and lodged in
the Kimball County Jail on charges of Possession of
Methamphetamine and Cocaine with Intent to Deliver.
